How we treat and kill fire ants
While there are at least two different methods, the most popular fire ant treatment is done by broadcasting a special, two mode of action granular bait.
Fire ants discover the bait particles when they are foraging for food and take them back to the colony (the group of ants living together). Once the baits have been taken back to the colony, it kills worker ants and stops reproduction in the queen ant so that the whole colony is eliminated.
The results of our professional treatment
The treatment is a twice-a-year treatment that kills about 85% of the fire ants. Although this treatment doesn’t prevent new infestation of fire ants, it is the most economically priced treatment and a favorite of our customers.
Second Method
The second method is the Top Choice treatment. It is a once-a-year treatment that kills 99% of the fire ants and keeps them out for a full year. Top Choice is a granular insecticide that releases long lasting fire ant protection as it becomes wet. If you don’t want to see any fire ants, then ask us about a Top Choice fire ant treatment.
